Meeting hosted, for the fourth time, by the Principality of Monaco and Prince Albert II. The panel of present Collegium members ensured the high interdisciplinary and international nature of the work. The Conference held mainly in form of dialogues, followed by a discussion of all participants: Michel Rocard: Preoccupations for the Planet. Dialogue Edgar Morin – Peter Sloterdijk: Towards a new categorical imperative. Dialogue Michael Doyle – Stéphane Hessel: Multilateralism and coherence in the functioning of the community of States. Dialogue F.H. Cardoso – René Passet: Macroeconomic disorder, poverty and famine. Gérard Toulouse: The world at the crossroads. Also participating: Ruth Dreifuss, Bernard Miyet, François Nordmann and Sacha Goldman.

November 20-21, Strasbourg

Participation of the International Collegium in the Colloquium “In the Spirit of Sakharov”, under the patronage of the European Parliament.

September 26-27, Geneva

Meeting of Collegium concerning the White Book project; Meeting with Pascal Lamy, Director-General of the World Trade Organization (WTO); International Collegium conference day : “The Planet in Danger”, on September 27th, in the context of the Geneva Philosophy Festival.

July 7, Paris

Presentation event of the Collegium International, with Stéphane Hessel, vice-President of Collegium and his new book “Le citoyen sans frontière” – Fayard.

May 5, Paris

Working session of the Collegium; establishing the structure and foundations of the White Book.
